Elspeth Haswell-Smith 

  • Founder and Director

    An agile and experienced Director and Founder of Well Life Services, Elspeth Haswell-Smith has extensive knowledge across compliance, quality service provision and risk management in culturally diverse settings. Her clients, staff, and colleagues value her as a robust analytical thinker that identifies, manages and mitigates risks at the strategic level.


    Basing herself in Toowoomba in 2006 and spending her early professional career focused on working in community-based human services. Over the past 22 years, Elspeth has facilitated strategic change for clients, including commercial enterprises, leading for-profit organisations and more recently qualified as a psychologist. Elspeth holds an ongoing commitment to continuous education and personal development.


    With her knowledge across commercial, community and government landscapes, Elspeth has been a leader whose vision, wisdom and compassion has been evidenced as an advisor and mentor to business owners, colleagues, senior staff, key business partners with a focus on collaboration and developing growth strategies in a planned cohesive manner. 


    Elspeth is acknowledged as a leader across the disability sector in Queensland. She has specialist knowledge of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), National Injury Insurance Scheme (NIISQ) and the Department of Child Safety, Seniors and Disability Services and the impact of sound strategic, financial and compliance management for disability support services.


Katrina Stirling

  • Finance Manager

    Katrina is seasoned finance professional with a passion for numbers and a heart for the Disability and Care industry. With a career spanning over a decade, she embarked on her financial journey in 2008 and eventually found her true calling within the sector in 2014.


    Katrina's love for the world of finance is palpable in her every endeavor. With an innate affinity for numbers, she thrives on crunching data, analyzing trends, and making sense of complex financial landscapes. Her meticulous attention to detail and analytical mindset have not only been the driving forces behind her success but have also allowed her to navigate the dynamic and ever-evolving realm of finance with finesse.


    Beyond her professional pursuits, Katrina's passions extend to the Disability and Care industry. She is wholeheartedly committed to making a positive impact on the lives of those in need, demonstrating a genuine empathy and understanding that shines through in her work. This unique blend of financial acumen and compassionate dedication sets her apart as a true advocate for creating meaningful change within the sector.

Holly Harder

  • Operations Manager - Allied Health | Occupational Therapist

    Holly graduated from Southern Cross University in 2015 with a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy and has enjoyed gaining experience in Occupational Rehabilitation and Aged Care since. 


    Holly is passionate about seeing people live their lives to their full potential and to engage in their environments with ease and enjoyment. She loves to see and to be involved in the improvement of lives for the individual to thrive. 


    Holly has particular interest in life skills across the life span and in promoting engagement in people’s everyday occupations – not just their jobs. 


Jodi Sweet

  • Head of Operations - Youth Residential & Lifestyle Support

    With over 15 years of experience in the community sector, Jodi is a dedicated leader committed to enhancing the lives of others. 


    She has spent 6 of those years focusing on youth services, where she has consistently worked to create positive and impactful experiences for young people. 


    As Head of Operations, Jodi brings her extensive knowledge and passion to ensure that every client receives exceptional care and support. Her leadership is driven by a deep commitment to fostering well-being and making a lasting difference in the community.

Paul Daley

  • Human Resources Manager

    Paul brings over 20 years of HR experience in high-end corporate organisations, including Manufacturing, Oil and Gas, Agriculture, Queensland Health, and non-profit Education sectors. With 12 years of payroll management experience, he has a deep understanding of HR and payroll systems.


    At Darling Downs Health, Paul advised on industrial relations, HR policy, and procedures, and utilised the SAP HR system. He also reviewed and updated HR policies to reflect current legislation.


    Previously, Paul was the Senior HR Manager at Pentair, providing HR, Industrial Relations, and OHS advice. He handled recruitment, talent acquisition, culture training, staff development, performance appraisal, compensation and benefits review, and EBA bargaining. Paul also delivered the "Cultural Unfreezing" seminar across Australia and New Zealand.


    Paul promotes open and honest discussions to enhance collaboration and believes in building personal credibility and respect within the organisation.

Cath Dormer

  • Corporate Services Manager

    Cath is a skilled communicator and adept problem solver who excels in cultivating valuable business connections. Her dynamic and enthusiastic nature defines her role as a dedicated Community Services professional. With an unwavering passion for assisting others, she remains devoted to continuous growth and learning.


    Cath Dormer is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in Marketing, Business Transformation, Procurement, Compliance, and Policy. As the Corporate Services Manager, Cath leads a dynamic team to streamline operations, enhance service delivery, and drive organisational growth. Her passion lies in fostering inclusive and safe workplace cultures and implementing innovative strategies that empower both clients and staff. With a commitment to excellence and continuous improvement, Cath is dedicated to making a positive impact within the community.

Katie Dunne

  • Support Coordination Operations Manager | Support Coordinator

    Meet Katie, a dedicated Support Coordinator with over 4 years of experience empowering participants to achieve their goals. 


    With a strong belief in choice and control, Katie excels in organisational and case management skills, ensuring effective support tailored to individual needs. 


    Passionate about building participant capacity, Katie thrives on fostering meaningful relationships and navigating the complexities of the NDIS.

Fiona Kanik

  • Training, Compliance and WHS Leader

    With over two decades dedicated to accredited training, Fiona brings a wealth of experience to her role as a Training Coordinator. 


    Her journey has been woven within the tapestry of community services, including aged care, mental health, and disability support. Fiona possesses a unique gift for effective communication across various mediums, allowing her to connect with individuals on a personal level. 



    Her natural inclination towards finding solutions has been a guiding force throughout her career, fostering an environment of collaborative problem-solving. 



    In the realm of community services, Fiona's focus extends beyond conventional training roles. She takes pride in matching individuals with training programs tailored to their skills, nurturing personalized career pathways. 



    Outside of her professional endeavours, Fiona finds joy in the transformative process of creating and renovating. This love for crafting extends beyond her work, reflecting her ability to bring freshness and innovation to every project.

Ashlee Coleman

  • Area Manager - South Brisbane QLD

    Ashlee is a compassionate and dedicated professional with a wealth of experience and knowledge that she has gained through working with clients in the past. She understands their needs and goals and is able to use this knowledge to create tailored care plans that meet their unique requirements.


    With a Bachelor of Psychology and a Cert 4 in Nursing, Ashlee has a deep understanding of the complex mental and physical health issues that many clients face. Her education has equipped her with the tools to identify and address these issues, and to provide compassionate care to those in need.


    Ashlee is particularly interested in positive development across the lifespan, believing that empowerment should be an everyday goal and is truly passionate about helping clients achieve their full potential.


Keitta McAninly

  • Area Manager - Toowoomba

    With six years of industry experience, Keitta has developed a deep expertise in understanding and addressing complex behaviours and cognitive science. Her special areas of focus include mental health and mental health first aid, ensuring that clients receive the support they need to thrive.

     

    Keitta is passionate about helping clients achieve their goals. She firmly believes that "where there's a will, there's a way," and she is dedicated to finding effective solutions to any challenges that arise. Her problem-solving skills are unmatched, making her a valuable resource for those she works with.

     

    Keitta holds a Certificate III in Disability (Cert 3 in Dis), which equips her with the knowledge and skills necessary to provide exceptional care and support to individuals with disabilities. Her commitment to continuous learning and professional development ensures that she stays at the forefront of industry advancements.

     

    Whether clients are seeking assistance with complex behavioural issues or need mental health support, Keitta is here to help them navigate their journey and achieve their aspirations.

     


Shalia Grimes

  • Assistant Area Manager - Toowoomba

    Shalia has a strong passion for helping others, she has taken on the role of Assistant Area Manager, responsible for overseeing and managing the care of patients, working closely with healthcare professionals, family members, and other stakeholders to ensure that all aspects of care are delivered in a timely and effective manner. 


    Shalia is a dedicated and passionate professional with a Certificate 3 in Individual Support and a strong commitment to providing the best possible care to clients. Her experience and expertise in the field, combined with her leadership skills enable her to achieve the best outcomes for clients and to deliver services that are reflective of the Well Life Services mission, vision, and values.


    Shalia provides ongoing coaching and support to team members, helping them to develop their skills and reach their full potential, being a natural leader she is able to inspire and motivate her team to deliver exceptional results.


Veronica Logue

  • Area Manager

    Veronica has been dedicated to the welfare sector since 2003, bringing a wealth of experience and expertise to her role. 


    Throughout her career, she has covered a wide range of areas, including school welfare coordination, emergency crisis response, transition and youth housing, residential homelessness crisis support, educational youth foyers, adolescent rehabilitation services, employment and education services, and a Trainer in Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI). Additionally, Veronica has served as a Leaving Care Coordinator and held senior management positions in residential youth services.


    Veronica is passionate about supporting teams to provide the highest quality care services for young people who are experiencing the trauma impact of living in out-of-home care. She is committed to working towards the best possible outcomes through quality care and team support.

Amaya Chandrasiri

  • Registered Psychologist

    Amaya, a registered psychologist and APS member, holds a B.Sc. from Missouri University of Science and Technology, a B.Appl.Sc. (Hons) from RMIT University, and a Master's in Counselling from the University of Queensland. She completed two years of provisional psychology training focused on child and adult interventions, conducting assessments for autism, ADHD, learning, cognitive, personality, and functional capacity for NDIS.


    With four years of experience at Well Life Services, Amaya specialises in play therapy, art therapy, and counselling. She employs neurodiversity-affirming models, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, and trauma-informed frameworks. Amaya values creating meaningful connections and being part of their mental health journey, supporting positive change along the way.

Anisia Glover

  • Occupational Therapist

    Anisia is a caring, compassionate, and creative Occupational Therapist with a diverse background in community and inpatient mental health services, as well as disability support. She is passionate about helping young people, especially children with Autism, ADHD, and intellectual disabilities, develop the skills they need to achieve their goals. As a mum of four, Anisia brings a personal understanding and dedication to working with children and their families.


    Anisia holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, Bachelor of Exercise Science and a Master of Occupational Therapy Studies. Her expertise is further supported by additional training in Sensory Modulation and DIRFloortime®, which she integrates into her therapeutic approach.


    In her spare time, Anisia enjoys spending quality time with her family, experimenting in the kitchen, and engaging in creative and organisational projects.


Lauren Sykes

  • Social Worker and Counsellor

    Lauren graduated with honours from her Bachelor of Social Work and has provided case management, specialised support and family related services to complex clients and their families for over 5 years.  


    Lauren is passionate about working from a person-centred perspective which keeps the needs of the clients and their families at the centre of all she does. She has seen clients excel and make positive change due to the quality support provided, as it is tailored to meet their specific needs and helps them reach their personal goals.   


    Being part of a team that helps clients thrive, feel empowered and achieve their goals is the reason she works in this role and with the Well Life Services team.

Evelyn Grant

  • Art Therapist

    Evelyn is a nurturing, compassionate and creative person. Evelyn started her journey as a Graphic Designer however, along her journey, Evelyn re-discovered her passion and curiosity with mental health and studied her Advanced Diploma in Art Transpersonal Therapy with Ikon Institute Australia, to further her knowledge she went onto to complete her Diploma in Counselling, but this didn’t end there, Evelyn is now about to complete her Bachelor of Counselling preparing herself for a master’s in art therapy.  


    Evelyn’s playful, gentle and friendly nature supports her when working with clients to assist them to build confidence and hope within themselves. 

Mike Dormer Well Life Services Support Coordinator

Tina Fourie

  • Counsellor

    Tina is dedicated, creative, and passionate. She is a registered and qualified counsellor who is always thinking outside the box for her clients to deliver unique, individualised therapy.


    Her background includes a Bachelor of Theology, Master of Youth Ministry and a Master of Counselling, with further studies in Play and Art Therapy. 


    She is currently avaiable for Tele-Health Services (via Zoom, Phone or Teams)


    Tina’s foundation is built on trauma-informed care and her passion is expressive therapies and youth counselling. With experience in school settings as a Student Counsellor and further experience working with families, Tina enjoys working with all age groups. 

Jo-Anne Hancock

  • Specialist Support Coordinator

    Jo is a dedicated and highly skilled Specialist Support Coordinator with a passion for helping individuals overcome challenges and achieve their goals. With several years of experience in the field she has developed a deep understanding of the unique needs and requirements of individuals requiring specialized support.


     Jo's expertise lies in coordinating and managing support services for individuals with various disabilities, mental health conditions, or other complex needs. She possesses a comprehensive knowledge of available resources, funding options, and community programs, allowing her to tailor support plans that maximize independence and well-being for her clients.


     Furthermore, Jo has a passion for working with children, with hands on experience working with children in care and those accessing the NDIS under Early Childhood Early Intervention (ECEI) programs.

Beth Griffiths

  • Support Coordinator

    Beth is a highly passionate person who started out in the Disability and Mental Health field as a Support Worker over a decade ago. She has been able to build her skills and undertake training to progress her knowledge throughout various roles. These skills have been transferrable and give her a unique perspective as a Support Coordinator. 

    Her comprehensive knowledge ranges from Support Worker, Roster Coordinator, Customer Service Officer, and Program Coordinator. 


    Understanding the fundamentals of a quality support service, Beth understands that providing quality care can come from the very first phone call and her purpose is to ensure that this quality of service is delivered to all participants that she supports.


    Her expertise and passion are within the Mental Health field, those who present with challenging behaviours and complex needs. She has seen firsthand how the right supports can change a person’s life for the better, and this is what drives her. Beth is a compassionate person and approaches every interaction with kindness and patience to foster trust and respect.


    Beth has a Certificate IV in Disability and is currently undertaking further study to increase her skills and knowledge.

Meredith Kaus

  • Specialist Support Coordinator

    Meredith brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the role of support coordination, with a deep understanding of human behaviour and the complex challenges individuals and communities face. She has a strong background in developing and implementing tailored support plans, coordinating services, and collaborating with key stakeholders such as allied health professionals and government agencies.


    With 10 years of experience within QLD Government, Meredith has honed her ability to navigate complex situations and build trust-based relationships with participants and their support networks. Her focus on fostering resilience and independence among NDIS participants drives her commitment to helping individuals achieve their goals through recovery-focused strategies.


    Having worked with people from diverse cultural backgrounds, Meredith is skilled at creating inclusive environments that empower participants to lead fulfilling and connected lives.

Ashleigh Smith

  • Support Coordinator

    With a decade of experience in the human services sector, Ashleigh has been dedicated to delivering a range of supports, including mainstream, mental health, and disability services within the community. Her profound understanding of the NDIS sector is not only professional but also personal, as she is a parent to a child with a Moderate Intellectual disability and ASD who benefits from NDIS assistance.


    Ashleigh's commitment extends beyond her professional responsibilities. She is deeply passionate about guiding participants and their families through the intricacies of their NDIS plans, ensuring they fully comprehend and optimize the benefits available. 

    As a fervent advocate, Ashleigh champions the needs and rights of her participants, embodying a compassionate and dedicated approach to her work.



Olivia Doran

  • Support Coordinator

    With a passion for helping others and extensive experience in customer service and client-based roles, Olivia has honed her problem-solving skills in diverse environments. Her personal experience working with individuals living with disabilities has deepened her commitment to understanding and addressing unique needs, fostering empathy and respect in every interaction. 


    Fiercely loyal to both clients and colleagues, Olivia excels at building lasting relationships and delivering tailored solutions that ensure satisfaction. Olivia thrives in dynamic settings where she can leverage her interpersonal skills and dedication to service excellence to make a meaningful impact.


    Olivia is passionate about seeing participants build their capacity through their choice and control and realise their goals.

Imogen Munich

  • Support Coordinator

    Imogen has extensive experience in customer service and client-based roles. Furthermore, working with people with various barriers, identifying those barriers and creating plans to overcome those barriers to ensure a positive quality of life, with dignity and respect. 


    Her passion lies in mental health, empowerment, advocacy, emphasizing equal opportunities and access to supports, supporting vulnerable individuals within the community. Imogen's approach is centred around being empathetic, respectful, compassionate, and with a strong focus on a client-based approach. 


    Imogen has personal and professional experience with people living with disabilities, which has led her to working within the community to help those who are vulnerable. 


    With her qualifications including, Community Services and Health Administration, she is also currently studying Child, Youth, and Family Intervention with the plan to pursue a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work or Psychology in the near future. 

Sophie Petersen

  • Recruitment Coordinator

    Sophie is our dedicated Recruitment Coordinator, with a strong foundation in external recruitment and a passion for building strong, lasting teams. After a successful year in external recruitment, Sophie sought to challenge herself and transitioned into internal recruitment, where she has been thriving for the past year. 


    Her interest in HR is evident as she is set to begin her Bachelor's studies, complementing her diploma in Human Services Development. Sophie is particularly passionate about increasing staff retention, believing that a motivated and engaged workforce is key to a thriving organisation.


Meng Lees

  • Corporate Services Coordinator

    As the Corporate Services Coordinator at Well Life Services, Meng plays a crucial role in establishing and optimising support systems for our newly formed department. Partnering with her manager, Meng is dedicated to creating efficient and effective processes that support enterprise-wide operations.


    With a Bachelor of Business (Economics & Finance) degree and her career in advertising, spanning boutique to multinational agencies, has honed her project management, time management, and problem-solving abilities. Additionally, Meng has significant experience in HR, where she has been involved in a range of tasks including recruitment, onboarding, induction training, HRIS implementation, and compliancy.


    After an 18-year career break spent raising children, Meng has embraced her return to the workforce with enthusiasm. She is currently retraining to become a counsellor, with the goal of using her strengths to help individuals overcome life challenges and work towards more joyful and fulfilling lives.


    Meng’s unwavering commitment to inclusivity, collaboration, and participation is one of her greatest strengths. She believes that the best results are achieved when everyone works together towards a common cause and is always willing to lend a hand or offer guidance whenever needed.


    Her strong organisational and administrative skills, coupled with her technical proficiency in office software and project management tools, enable Meng to streamline operations and improve processes while remaining flexible and adaptable to dynamic environments.


    Driven by a customer service orientation and a passion for improving the lives of others, Meng ensures exceptional support for both internal and external clients. Her initiative and autonomy allow her to proactively address tasks and bring innovative solutions to the table.


    Excited about the future, Meng is eager to leverage her skills and experiences to contribute to Well Life Services’ mission of providing outstanding care and support to their clients across South East Queensland.
